Partner & Head of Dreamscape

Clinton Browning

Clint’s practice focuses heavily at the Board level through C-suite and he is responsible for leading Daversa’s business unit Dreamscape.

The Board practice was built under the notion that a company’s secret sauce is formulated behind the scenes, by a group of non-executive directors in a boardroom. As such, Clint believes Directors should be regarded as strategic allies to founders and investors rather than blockers. After all, the common denominator for directors, founders, and investors alike is a shared vision: pushing the throttle on innovation, profitability, and long-term viability.

The Dreamscape business is dedicated to ensuring there is Black representation on the boards and executive teams of the most important companies and investing firms in technology. Dreamscape connects well-established members of startups and venture capital firms that are looking for executives or board directors with accomplished, proven and board-ready Black talent. Early partners include mission driven companies such as Brex, Robinhood, AppLovin, and venture capital firms such as Venrock and Greylock Partners.

Clint’s 25+ year career in search started at Korn Ferry where he helped develop and scale their Diversity practice on a global scale. In addition, he has founded two boutique search firms dedicated to placing diverse talent. An alum and former football player at The University of California, Berkeley, Clint thrives on offering clear solutions to our greatest challenges.

Some of his thought leadership includes hosting a Daversa Partners Dare To Be Legendary podcast episode on industry-wide equity and building inclusive boards, featuring. Sharah Marwah, Head of Talent at Venrock, and guest hosting Greylock’s Greymatter podcast, where he discussed connecting Tech with the next generation of black executives.
